GRILLED OYSTERS

Iím told there are people who donít like oysters. They say they remind them of snot. They remind me of something else and I eat them any chance I get! My favorite way is to eat them raw right out of the shell. Grilled oysters are good too. Here are two methods.

Oysters on the Grill

Oysters in Their Shells
Boneyard Brew Hot Sauce
Cocktail Sauce
Worcestershire Sauce
Lemon Juice

Make sure you have good fresh oysters. The shells should be closed. If you get some that are already open they are dead and will make you sick. Do not eat them - toss them in your neighbor's yard. Before you start scrub your oysters with a brush under running water to remove any sand.

Method 1
Pre-heat your grill and place oysters on the grate large side down. This will help the oysters retain it's juice when they open. Grill until they open. Remove from heat, pry them open, squeeze a little lemon juice on them and serve with the sauces on the side.

Method 2
Pre-heat your grill. Shuck the oysters keeping them in the larger shell. Sprinkle them with lemon juice and add a little worcestershire, cocktail or hot sauce. Place them on the hot grill and let them cook until they begin to curl. They are done. Serve imeadiatly. Careful - the shells will be hot.
